可可樹是一種熱帶常綠植物, 屬於Sterculiaceae科. 可可脂是從可可果實 (豆子) 中提取的一種固體植物油. 它是最好的護膚黃油之一, 可以在皮膚上形成保護膜, 避免水分流失, 使皮膚變得柔軟. 純可可脂呈固體狀, 堅硬且不黏.
特性: 呈黃白色, 帶有可可香氣, 令人愉悅.
成分: 可可脂、可可鹼、咖啡因、脂肪、蛋白質、礦物質、鎂、鉀、生物鹼等.
特點: 室溫下呈固體, 稍微油膩, 在與皮膚接觸時融化. 保存期限: 2至5年.
功效: 有助於平滑疤痕, 軟化粗糙的皮膚, 適合乾燥的皮膚.
用法: 常用於化妝品和護膚品的製造. 可以與蘆薈油脂、乳木果油脂、基底油和精油混合, 製成滋潤的護唇膏、面部膏或香膏. 也可添加到乳霜、乳液和其他護膚品中, 增強保濕效果. 單獨使用時, 可作為蠟燭材料, 在手工皂的成分中添加15％, 可以增加其硬度.
